How to use this tool
- Select a currency. This changes the amount labels and rounding; it does not perform currency conversion.
- Enter product cost, shipping, advertising and other costs. Set the actual percentage fee charged on the sale price.
- Choose Calculate profit or Find target price. Review your costs before using the result.
Worked example
A $50 sale with $20 product cost, $3 shipping, $2 advertising and a 10% fee leaves $20 profit, or a 40% margin. A $20 profit target requires a $50 selling price with those same costs.
Calculation and generation rules
Profit = sale price minus product cost, percentage fee, shipping, advertising and other costs. Target price = (fixed per-sale costs + target profit) divided by (1 − fee rate). The target display rounds up to the currency’s smallest unit.
Frequently asked questions
Does this include tax or refunds?
No. Add applicable costs yourself or review them separately. This tool does not model country-specific taxes, returns, subscriptions or tiered platform fees.
Does changing currency convert the numbers?
No. All amounts must already be in the selected currency. USD, EUR and GBP use two decimals; JPY and KRW use whole units.
Is this financial advice?
This is arithmetic based on your inputs. Check actual settlement statements and platform fee rules before setting a price.
